Matthew Brown is a Florida-based singer-songwriter whose heartfelt renditions of ‘90s alternative pop/rock and original music have made him a familiar name across the East Coast live music scene. Born in Northern Kentucky and raised in Florida since 1996, Matthew has spent nearly two decades performing at songwriter rounds, intimate venues, and opening for national acts such as Granger Smith and We The Kings.

Blending the emotional resonance of the Goo Goo Dolls and Matt Nathanson with the energy of early 2000s punk rock, Matthew's sound is both nostalgic and fresh. A multi-instrumentalist with a love for guitar and percussion, he has co-written songs on all five of his band’s albums alongside his brother and is set to release his debut solo EP in late summer/early fall 2025.

As he prepares to relocate from Gainesville, FL to Lexington, KY for law school in the fall of 2025, Matthew is shifting his focus toward sharing his music with new audiences throughout the Bluegrass region. Offstage, he’s a devoted husband and proud father of two—with a third child on the way—whose music is as grounded and sincere as the life he leads.
